Find the story on windows in businesses in St. John's.  At each window you can read a page of the story and it will tell you where to find the next page!
The story starts at the elevator door entrance of the school - at the corner of N. Kellogg and N. John.

El Cuento comienza en la Escuela de James John.  Busque la bentana en la entrada de la puerta del ascensor en la esquina de N. Kelloggy N. John.

At James John, we want to get books to students!!

Reading a print book, or reading a book on screen are both options for reading.  Even listening to a book counts as reading!

It all builds literacy.

We want students to have books in print - not just online-

because part of becoming readers is experiencing

what works best for you!

How do we get them?

When:

Monday and Wednesdays 3-5 at the James John distributions - auditorium doors.

Two ways to get books -

1. Pick a book bag when you come

2. Request a book from the library

  • Login in to your Destiny (library) account
  • Put a hold on a book
  • pick it up at the distribution Mondays/Wednesday 3:00-4:30 at the school.

What kind of books in the book bags:Books about animals, dinosaurs, adventure, funny books -

you pick the grade level and the theme. You will get a bag of

5 books to take home for two weeks.

  • Need more than one bag? No Problem!
  • Need books in Spanish? No Problem!
  • Need an OBOB book? No Problem!

Our Eric Carle Study

In Ms. Pires and Ms. Wilcox's Art in Lit classes we studied Eric Carle.
We looked at how he mixed colors.

We  used the papers to cut the shapes to make the animals.
We created a title for our project and put it on the bulletin board for all to see!
