League of Exceptional Writers

Roxanne Perry is passionate about inspiring kids to write.  She hosts a monthy
League of Exceptional Writers at the Cedar Hills Crossing Powells.

Each month has a different theme and a different guest author.  Best for ages 10 and up.

Our Eric Carle Study

In Ms. Pires and Ms. Wilcox's Art in Lit classes we studied Eric Carle.
We looked at how he mixed colors.

We  used the papers to cut the shapes to make the animals.

We created a title for our project and put it on the bulletin board for all to see!

Welcome to the library! This year we are doing one term of Art in Literature for K and 1st graders. We are starting with Eric Carle and looking at how he makes art. Here is a video showing how he creates his colored paper.  The video is in both English and German.
