Paper Making!!

Thanks to Mr Parada's class for inspiring James John to think about how we use paper. After a month long effort to help classes think about how they use paper, Friday we had a celebration with Ms. Keeler's class who won the contest on reusing paper in the classroom.

 Here is how we made new paper from recycled paper:

 Shred paper

 Blend it into a pulp

 Strain out the water

Make sure you have lots of awesome kids and awesome family helpers!

In "Write Funny. Draw Funny. Deadlines: Not So Funny," author and illustrator Mark Fearing (Earthling!) will teach you how to create a funny picture book while staring down a fire-breathing deadline. Hosted by Rosanne Parry, the League of Exceptional Writers is a monthly workshop where authors and illustrators share their knowledge with kids, ages 8 to 18 years old, who are interested in creating books. Join us!
